Mentoring

SEND4 is an alternative provision that specialises in mentoring, and personal and social development coaching for young people with additional needs, including but not limited to ADHD, ASD, Attachment Disorders, ODD, PDA, Anxiety, and Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs.

At SEND4, we understand the challenges faced by young people who are awaiting specialist school placements or struggling to access or cope with traditional education settings. To address these challenges, we offer individualised timetables and programs that are designed to help young people achieve their full potential.

Our main objective is to support young people in developing the necessary social and emotional skills that will enable them to transition to a more formal education setting successfully. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and we are committed to providing them with the tools and support they need to achieve their goals.

Our programs are flexible and can be tailored to meet the individual needs of each young person we work with. We offer a maximum of 15 hours per week, which can be divided into 5 x 3-hour sessions across the week or 3 days of 5 hours. We are always willing to work around other appointments, sessions with other providers, or school lessons where necessary.

A typical session at SEND4 includes:

  • Collection from home or school
  • An activity that focuses on the young person's targets or outcomes specified in the referral
  • A social and fun activity to promote social engagement
  • A discussion about the session's achievements and next steps for the following session, including what went well and what can be improved
  • Drop-off back home or school

At SEND4, we are dedicated to providing young people with the guidance and support they need to succeed. Our experienced team is passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
