Alternative Provision (School Age)
Personalised education for children and young people who need a different approach.
SEND4 provides flexible Alternative Provision for learners who are unable to access or thrive in their current education provision. Every programme is tailored to the individual and built around their strengths, needs, interests and aspirations.
Our programmes are delivered from our specialist SEND4 sites, in the local community where appropriate, or through outreach provision, supporting children and young people across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Dorset and Hampshire.
Our Alternative Provision includes:
- Personalised learning programmes
- Learning at our specialist sites and in the community
- Outreach provision for rural and hard-to-reach areas
- A broad PSHE curriculum
- Access to accredited Open Awards qualifications
- Early vocational learning to explore careers, develop practical skills and make informed choices
- Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
- Pastoral and mentoring support
- Preparation for future education, employment and adulthood
